UPDATE: and i sound incredible good!! But we, Mr Nuzzaci and I, still need to spend many more hours together to achieve a pure symbiotic relationship (for instance I think Mr Nuzzaci need to get use to the fact that i have channel 2 on the left side and channel 1 on the right).
Year 2007, and the first week of 2008, has reached its end. I haven’t even started to think about a personal reflection and/or write-down my thoughts, but plenty of magazines and websites have already posted their own highlights and top lists from the past year. The list I that has kept me pre-occupied for quite a while is the 50 Top 10 Lists of 2007 from Time.com. I can’t say I agree with any of the lists, and most of them I don’t even feel qualified enough to pass judgment on, but the ones I do have some knowledge of I can’t say I concur. No, it’s not the “they think as I — they’re brilliant!” kind of feeling, more an educating experience.
Some of the lists, for instance Top 10 News Stories, Top 10 Crime Stories and Top 10 Quotes, tells you more about the person who compiled the list, the state of media, and the interest of Times as a publication, than an order of quality. The fact that the disappearance of Madeleine McCann makes it to top 3 in the Top 10 Crime Stories list just shows you how the media works and feeds of itself. Maybe 2007 didn’t have much crime, if that’s the case — sorry for being blunt.
The list I found refreshing was the Top 10 Live Performances. With Britain’s Got Talent candidate, Paul Potts, singing opera on number 1, Guillaume “Moche Pitt” de Tonquédec, French national champion in air guitar as number 3, Wilco on 7 and, probably the biggest surprise, my fellow Swedes ‘I’m From Barcelona’ on number 10!
Go check it out.
